Jean Pierre Janvier specializes in hydraulics and geotechnical engineering. He has a passion for mathematics and loves working with formulas. His interest lies in any and everything to do with structural engineering.
Engineering methods are rapidly changing so it’s crucial to stay up to date with what’s going on in the world of engineering or you’ll get left behind. Civil engineering is a very dynamic field, when you think you’ve solved all the problems another one pops up and is even more complex than the last one. This is very frustrating but at the same time it keeps things interesting, there’s never a dull moment in the world of engineering.
Jean Pierre is currently in the final year of his civil engineering bachelor at the Hogeschool Utrecht. After obtaining his diploma Jean Pierre plans to gain some experience in the field before heading off to do his masters. He thinks it’s important to put theory to practice because at the end of the day theory is nothing without practice.
Dream Big, Work Hard and Stay Humble
This is a motto Jean Pierre lives by, this is what he stands for in a few words. He got this quote from his younger cousin and that just shows that you can learn something from everybody no matter the age. This humbled him and thought him to keep his ears open because knowledge is everywhere just need to learn to listen.
